Come along to the Junee Hotel and carve your own cooking or eating spoon using only knives, the old school way! Everything is supplied, you get to take home your very own handmade spoon and learn about the hobby that is Green Woodworking. You will learn knife safety, wood selection and spoon orientation, the principles of spoon carving, safe carving and knife holds, ethical wood collection and spoon care.
So how does it work?
- You carve your own spoon. You choose either a cooking or eating spoon. I will take care of the axe work.
- Wood, knives and all other tools are all supplied, no need to bring anything!
- Groups of 2-6 will ensure classes go ahead, $150 per person. Groups smaller than two will be rescheduled or refunded.
- Allow approx 5hrs.
- Spoon class specifics will be provided post purchase through your email or text.
Individual and more advanced spoon carving lessons are available, which will include axe work. Please reach out with a message to discuss this option.
