Have you been looking for the perfect hobby to increase your cool status? Now is the perfect time to take up spoon carving and the best but is you will never be cooler!
Come join me in Wagga, NSW, at The Museum of the Riverina Botanical Gardens Site on Saturday July 4th 2026, where we will spend time learning the principles of greenwood carving, and walk away with your very own spoon!
Please bring any snacks or drinks, some light snacks will be included.
Everything you need will be supplied, you get to take home your very own handmade spoon and learn about the hobby that is Green Woodworking. You will learn knife safety, wood selection and spoon orientation, the principles of spoon carving, safe carving and knife holds, ethical wood collection and spoon care.
So how does it work?
- Come along at 10am wearing closed toe shoes with your best carving energy! We will carve through to 3-4pm.
- You carve your own cooking spoon. I will take care of the axe work.
- Wood, knives and all other tools are all supplied, no need to bring anything!
- Groups of 2-6 will ensure classes go ahead, $175 per person. Ages 16+
- Allow approx 4-5hrs.

Individual and more advanced spoon carving lessons are available, which will include axe work. Please reach out with a message to discuss this option.
